Served 8 1/2 years in Quebec with Army Headquater and Artillery and 12 years with Air Force in Ontario, Canada. Deployed to Cyprus with UN in 1987-88 as a Peace Keeper. Served Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF) as an AFP (Air Force Police), 1961 - 1971. During the Bay of Pigs fiasco, I and others were dispatched on an aircraft bound for the trouble area but were recalled in the air at the last minute. Never was divulged to us exactly where we were going to land. It was mixed feelings to us young guys.
